News for march 2017

1. Basic Design was developed for the unit of С3/С4 fraction treatment from mercaptans being a part of Gas Fractioning unit at Oil Residues Processing Complex of LLC “LUKOIL-NNOS”
2. Implemented delivery of 1.5 tons of heterogeneous catalyst KSM-X to JSC “Slavneft-YANOS”
3. Patent RU2603653 C1 “A method for the demercaptanization of a hydrocarbon feedstock” was issued.
4. The new office of R&D Center «AhmadullinS» was opened in the city of Kirkuk, Republic of Iraq.

Results of 2016 year

Dear colleagues!

Quite some time is left before the end of 2016. We congratulate you with coming holidays and wish you all the best in the New 2017 Year! We would like to take stock of our R&D Center work results during the past year.

  1. Basic design of wastewater treatment unit (75 m3/h) from sulphide sulfur with KSM-X heterogeneous catalyst (LOCOS technology) was issued for LLC “Tomskneftekhim” – the subsidiary of SIBUR group.
  2. Basic design of mercaptans and carbonyl sulfide LPG treatment unit, included in Gas Fractioning Unit, part of Oil residues refining complex at LLC “LUKOIL-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez”, is in the process of development.
  3. KSM catalyst at BBF mercaptans treatment unit at PJSC ANK “Bashneft” Ufimsky refinery plant” after 12 years of successful operation was replaced with improved KSM-X catalyst.
  4. KSM catalyst at BBF mercaptans treatment block at JSC “Gazpromneft-Moscow refinery” after 13 years of successful operation was replaced with improved KSM-X catalyst.
  5. A positive decision on the invention of hydrocarbons mercaptans removal process was obtained.
  6. Three applications for inventions have been submitted:
    • Synthesis of polyquinones;
    • Catalytic oxidation of inorganic sulfides;
    • Treatment of associated petroleum gases.
  7. 5 scientific articles have been published.
  8. Participation in conferences:

-XI Russian scientific-technical conference “Actual problems of Russian oil and gas complex development”, Moscow, Russian State University of Oil and Gas (speaker – Akhmadullina A.G.)

  1. Following processes were worked through at pilot plants:
    • Sulfur-alkaline wastes treatment technology for LLC “Tomskneftekhim”
    • New technology for associated petroleum gas treatment;
    • Technology of phenol antioxidant – Bisphenol-5 production. 200 kg of product is produced.
  2. Following research works are carried out:
    • synthesis of organophosphorus and water-soluble hindered phenolic antioxidants;
    • the selection of the antioxidant composition for lubricating oils;
    • practical application of Bisphenol-5 antioxidant.
  3. On the basis of scientific center there are three graduate students working in the following areas:
    • Polyquinones synthesis (Nigmatullin T.R.)
    • Catalytic oxidation of inorganic sulfides (Hien I., Vietnam)
    • Development of associated petroleum gases treatment technology (Khakimova G.A.)

News for october 2016

In October 2016 R&D Center «AhmadullinS – Science and Technology» has finished development of Basic design for the Block of chemically polluted wastewater treatment from sulfide sulfur at LLC «Tomskneftekhim», daughter company of SIBUR group.

Technology of sulfide sulfur oxidation (LOCOS process) using heterogeneous phthalocyanine KSM-X catalyst was applied for this Block.

Treated feed is chemically polluted wastewater in amount of 75 m3/h containing sulfides (calculated as H2S) 2500 mg/l (0.25 wt.%). Besides sulfides chemically polluted waste waters also contain toluene, methanol, phenol, formaldehyde, suspended solids.

News for september 2016

In September 2016 R&D Center «AhmadullinS – Science and Technology» has produced and supplied KSM-X catalyst for the Block of mercaptans removal from butane-butylene fraction (based on Demerus technology), being a part of catalytic cracking unit G43-107 at JSC «Gazpromneft – Moscow refinery», Moscow.

Our September 2015 news

September, 2015. News at STC:

1. September 30, 2015 Leading Engineer of STC «AhmadullinS – Science and Technology” – Gatiyatullin Dinar Ravilevich successfully defended his thesis for the degree of Ph.D. of technical sciences: “Development of a new two-stage technology of antioxidant – 4,4′-bis (2, 6-di-tert-butyl-phenol) synthesis”.

2. Heterogeneous KSM-X catalyst was supplied to propane-propylene and butane-butylene fractions sweetening unit at “TAIF-NK” JSC, Nizhnekamsk city. Guaranteed catalyst lifetime – 8 years.

3. Under the supervision of the Licensee representative heterogeneous KSM-X catalyst was loaded into the alkali regenerator P-701 of propane-propylene and butane-butylene fractions sweetening unit at “TAIF-NK” JSC, Nizhnekamsk city.

4. Technical rules were developed and approved for designing installation of 4,4′-bis (2,6-di-tert-butyl phenol) (antioxidant Bisphenol-5) synthesis with the capacity of 600 tons/year.

5. 1 ton of raw materials were purchased for the production of experimental batch of antioxidant Bisphenol-5.

6. STC «AhmadullinS – Science and Technology” developed and approved the safety data sheet on:

  • KSM-X catalyst (РПБ № 40655797-21-38119 by 22.05.2015);
  • Bisphenol-5 (РПБ № 40655797-24-37934 by 28.04.2015);
  • Diphenoquinone (РПБ № 40655797-24-37933 by 28.04.2015).

License agreement with Bashneft

STC received Applications, to the Patents Nos 2110324, 2173330, 2529500, on registration of the license agreement with “Bashneft Oil Company” OJSC (state registration of the agreement on the disposal of exclusive right). PDF versions of these documents will be placed in the relevant section on this page.
